Haya and modesty

 

In Islam, Haya (modesty) is regarded as a sacred virtue. At Wemus™, we uphold this principle, cultivating a culture of modesty, integrity, and honor.
 
The Quran reminds us in Surah Al-A'raf (7:26): "O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best." Additionally, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Haya is a part of faith" (Sahih Bukhari). Both these, the verse and the hadith emphasize the importance of modesty in both physical attire and conduct, highlighting the significance of righteousness as the ultimate form of adornment.
 
This includes maintaining modesty in all forms of communication, whether through messages, comments, or profile content. Members are encouraged to refrain from sharing or engaging in any content that may compromise the principles of modesty in Islam, including explicit or suggestive language, inappropriate imagery such as nudity or sexual content, or discussions contrary to Islamic teachings.

At Wemus™, we're committed to fostering a community of peace and understanding. That's why we have a strict policy against violence, threats, terrorism, hate speech, and discriminatory content. This also includes inappropriate content like unsolicited nudity and explicit material.

 

We believe in peaceful and harmonious interactions where everyone feels respected and valued, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religious beliefs. Diversity is at the core of our community, and we embrace it wholeheartedly.

Protect your privacy

Stay safe from scammers and thieves. Keep personal information like phone numbers, email or home addresses, and bank/credit card details off your profile – only share what you’re comfortable making public.

Watch out for red flags that may signal a scam:

• Messages with links to third-party websites

• Requests to chat outside of Wemus™

• Solicitations for money

• Sudden disappearances and reappearance under a different name

• Requests for your address under the pretext of sending gifts or flowers

Minors not allowed​

You must be 18 or older to use Wemus™. If you come across a profile featuring someone who appears to be underage, please report it.

Additionally, refrain from including images of minors in your profile. Let's keep the focus on you. Save those precious family moments for later! You can always share photos of your children with your matches down the road.

Zero tolerance for sales, solicitation, or illegal activity

Wemus™ is all about connecting for marriage, not for sales or promotions. Let's stick to the heart stuff and leave the business pitches at the door. And just to be clear, any involvement in illegal activities such as sexual exploitation or trafficking will result in an immediate ban.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in account suspension or termination. We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including banning accounts, to uphold the integrity of our community and protect the well-being of our members.

As a valued member of the Wemus™ community, we urge you to voice your concerns. If you encounter behavior that causes distress, discomfort, or violates our Community Guidelines, please report it. Your report will remain confidential at all times. Your action plays a crucial role in halting harmful behavior and safeguarding fellow members.
